Ultraviolet absorber 531 also called UV-531, is an UV absorber for plasticized and rigid PVC, polyester, PS, Acrylate resins, vinyl ester based coatings, PU based coatings, alkyed resin coatings, improves the weather resistance of the coating. The advantage is low yellowing; Good absorbance in the UV-B region; improves failure of coatings resulting from exposure to sunlight including discoloration, cracking and loss of adhesion.
Ultraviolet Absorber 531 has a melting point of 47-50°C, absorbs 240-340 nm of UV light, and is characterized by light color, good compatibility, and low migration.

4.Application:
UV absorber UV-531 can be used in a variety of plastics, especially polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, epoxy resins, polyester and cellulose resins.
It is widely used in PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, organic glass, propylene fiber and ethylene kool-acid ethylene kool.
At the same time used as light stabilizer for various coatings, but also for dry phenolic and drunken acid varnish, polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy products and automotive refurbishment paint, powder coatings, polyurethane, etc., to provide them with a good light stabilization effect to reduce the coating coating failure.
5.Usage:
(1)For both HDPE and LDPE, UV absorber UV-531 is very effective:
In PE flat wire, monofilament, film, the recommended dosage: 0.2-0.5%;
In low-pressure devices and blow-molded products, the recommended dosage: 0.15-0.3%;
And the effect is very good in agricultural film, which can extend the service life by 2-3 times, recommended dosage: 0.5%.
(2)For PP, Ultraviolet Absorber 531 is very effective in coloring and colorless PP, the amount added increases the amount of UV absorber as the thickness of the product decreases.
Fibers, monofilaments, flat yarns, ribbons, weaving nets and films: 0.5%; injection molding: 0.2-0.3%.
(3)For PVC: whether plasticized or non-plasticized, in the ultraviolet radiation will appear yellowing, physical properties change and other phenomena, especially plasticized PVC in the exterior will appear dark spots.
The general additive amount is: soft PVC: 0.3-2%. Hard PVC: 0.3%.
(4)For SBS and PS modified TPR material, the general dosage is: 0.3%.
(5)Others: recommended dosage: 0.1-0.3%, before use, should be tested to confirm the final formula.
